It is a typical residence in the Tibetan pasture. They weave a rectangular curtain. In the middle of the curtain is bolstered up with a pole . Outside it is drawn by ropes and nailed to the earth. Its edge is walled up with grass or dung lumps, with a door left. In the daytime the curtain is unfolded, at night it is tied tight with rope.

It can be found in Tibet, Qinghai Province, Gansu Province and the west of Sichuan Province. It is flatly roofed and piled up with stone slates. On the wall there are small door and windows. It is built against the hill land three-layered.
